This is what Mesa said to me.  Mesa is a senior on the Xavier Men’s Tennis Team and one of the more mature students that we interact with on campus. He initiates conversations with us and speaks with refreshing honesty and confidence. His invitation to join the team is the first time in our ten years here at Xavier that a student has invited us to go on a road trip.

The tennis coach is great and was happy to include Mark on the next trip. It was a joint team meet at Marquette, where both the men’s and women’s team competed.

Mark had some great conversations with the players and the coach gave him a time slot to lead a “Team Chapel” the night before which  every player attended. That was really exciting.  Watching them play and getting to know the men has been a blessing.  I (Susie) have been able to meet with most of the women too, and watched them play matches in town. Both Mark and I have had the opportunity to share the Gospel with most of the players on the teams. Many of them come to our weekly meetings.  Adam, a sophomore on the team, is even going with us this summer on a missions trip to Puerto Rico.

We praise God for these open doors.  It has been a blessing to share Christ with these two teams.

Thank you for your help to make this work possible. Building these relationships and sharing Jesus Christ with these young people is a real joy.

Maybe you can imagine yourself sitting in this seat next to Mark and Mesa. In a sense you are, through your prayers and finances you are making an eternal impact as students like Mesa are drawn to  Christ.
