Dan walked onto the campus two years ago and  really wasn’t sure what he believed. He struggled in that he was living his life to please others, caring what everyone else was thinking of him. At that time you would have hardly guessed how dramatially God was going to transform Dan’s life. But God sees people differently than man does.

One day, at the end Dan’s freshman season, I felt led to sit next to him in the dugout and challenge him to go on one of AIA’s summer opportunities. I saw a spark in his eyes. God was at work.

This was the beginning of a journey for Dan. Two years have passed. Dan is growing as a man of God. He says he does not care what other people think of him any more.  He says it’s all about Jesus and living for Him. He is very thankful for the AIA community at Xavier and feels it has been essential in his growth in Christ.

Dan says  it can be a struggle “living the Christian life alone” on his team. But, he says that only makes him motivated to be a “difference-maker” in the lives of his 34 teammates, reaching out to them with the good news of Jesus Christ.

Dan is one of our leaders in our campus ministry here at Xavier.  We are humbled and thankful to watch as God touches lives like Dan’s, and changes them for eternity.
