Traveling with the baseball team to St. Louis this past weekend was a tremendous way to build relationships with the players and coaches. I’m so grateful for these opportunities to show support and the love of Christ. It was great to see the young men take a knee to pray before each of the games. On Friday night the team chapel was led by Dan, a sophomore player who is involved with our campus ministry.
Every Spring we host a Senior Appreciation Dinner as a way to honor the graduating seniors. Our date for this year is April 21st. Please pray for their response as we share the Gospel and offer the seniors some suggestions for transitioning into life after college.
Susie and I have been asked to help lead a team to Puerto Rico this summer. This will be a pioneering effort on a new campus. We will be training a group of American and Puerto Rican students, while living in a dorm on the campus. Athletes in Action does not currently have any ongoing presence on the island. Our purpose is to help establish a new campus ministry, where the youth on that campus can hear the Gospel and be built up in their faith. We are excited to see how the Lord will honor those two weeks of active outreach on the campus. We covet your prayers as we are in the middle of working out all he housing and outreach details for the entire group.
