Reaching the World

Settling into Oregon

We are becoming more and more settled here in Southern Oregon, and are so thankful in how the Lord is smoothing out the bumps of our transitions. It is hard to believe that it has already been five months since our move. We are attending a church with some of Susie’s long time friends, and getting to know our neighbors and people in the community.

We are so thankful for the opportunities of this new chapter, but admit that there are times when we miss our kids and grandkids. FaceTime and phone calls have helped us to stay in touch. We are excited to be welcoming into our family a new grandson due early November. Please pray for Kayla and Nate, and Baby Boy Hammitt as the day approaches. Right now we are planning to all be together for the Thanksgiving weekend and we are really looking forward to that.

Reaching the World

I (Mark) have been thoroughly enjoying my opportunities to mentor our staff and develop them. My reach is both vast and varied. This week, I had a call with Smart, one of our staff in Nigeria and another call with Nicholas, who was born in Lebanon and who now oversees our ministry in North Africa and the Middle East. One thing I have really enjoyed doing ever since our time in South Africa is to invite people to pray in their heart language, for Nicholas that was Arabic. Hearing Nicholas pray in Arabic displays the scope of the ministry of which we are a part. Together we are reaching the world with the Gospel! The harvest is plentiful and the workers are few… what a joy to help mentor these laborers as they go to the harvest!

Back in the Pac-12

Susie is continuing her golf ministry. She will be heading to Palo Alto, California for the

We are passionate to see Jesus transform the lives of students and mobilize them as laborers to help fulfill the Great Commission.
