Mentoring a New Laborer for the Harvest

Eric came to faith in Jesus as a student and soccer player at Wright State University. The Lord used one of our AIA staff in Eric’s life. Over those four years as Eric’s faith grew so did his godly impact with his teammates and peers. Jesus wove each of those experiences together so that upon graduation Eric sensed the Lord’s calling and joined our staff with Athletes in Action, to take the Gospel where the Gospel is not.

I (Mark) have had the privilege to mentor and coach Eric these past few months as he trusted the Lord for his team of ministry partners. I am so excited to share that he has reached his goal and has been released to report to campus. Eric Hutton is yet another young laborer sent out to the harvest fields.

 Matthew 9:35-38

Jesus was going through all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues and proclaiming the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every disease and every sickness. Seeing the crowds, He felt compassion for them, because they were distressed and downcast, like sheep without a shepherd. Then He said to His disciples, “The Harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Therefore, plead with the Lord of the harvest to send out workers into His Harvest.”

Our lifelong passion to see the lives of college students transformed by the Good News continues and its flame burns brighter as we realize the huge impact Eric will have over his lifetime of ministry

Rejoice with us, and thank you so much as your Kingdom partnership with us is enabling us to collectively live out the words of Jesus!
