They met on an airplane when Nate’s flight into Cincinnati was canceled and he ended up sitting in Kayla’s row on an American Airline’s flight to Louisville. During the flight they chatted and Kayla put two and two together and asked “Wait a second, are you David Hammitt’s brother?”  (Kayla was involved with the Cru ministry at Purdue and knew David.)  Nate had the confidence to ask for her number, and enough credibility that Kayla actually gave it.   We see God’s hand in this random meeting.

Kayla is a 2016 graduate of Purdue University and is a   landscape architect working in Philadelphia, where Nate is an architect. She shares his creative and adventurous spirit. We love Kayla and are so thankful to have her join our family.

Praising God for His sovereignty in bringing them together.  They are planning to wed spring of 2018.
